District heating networks and large HVAC plants need reliable heat metering, temperature and pressure monitoring at energy stations, heat exchange stations and substations. WELK Meters supplies ultrasonic heat meters, integrated temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters and electromagnetic flow meters that have been installed in some of China’s most demanding new heating infrastructure, including multiple energy station and pipeline projects in the Xiong’an New Area.
Typical Measurement Challenges
Heating networks operate with hot water at elevated pressure, where small measurement errors translate directly into energy billing disputes and poor network balancing. Stations are numerous and often unmanned, so instruments must be stable for long periods and integrate with PLC or SCADA systems. Retrofit projects add the challenge of limited straight pipe runs and tight cabinet space.
Which WELK Instruments Fit
- Ultrasonic heat meters and ultrasonic flow meters — for energy metering at heat exchange stations and consumer substations, the same instrument types we delivered to Xiong’an energy station projects.
- Integrated temperature transmitters (e.g. TY862) — supply and return temperature measurement with 4-20 mA output, plus bimetal thermometers for local indication.
- Pressure transmitters and pressure gauges — network pressure monitoring, pump protection and differential pressure across exchangers; shock-resistant liquid-filled gauges for pump rooms.
- Electromagnetic flow meters — circulation and make-up water flow measurement.
- PLC control cabinets and VFD cabinets — station automation packages, supplied as engineered panels with the instruments wired in.
Project Experience
Our reference list includes heating (and cooling) energy stations and in-tunnel pipeline projects in the Xiong’an New Area, heat exchange station instrumentation packages and complete station sets covering heat meters, temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, water meters and electromagnetic flow meters. These projects were delivered to major Chinese construction groups under tight schedules.
If you operate or build heating networks, send us your station list and measuring points. We will propose a complete, consistent instrument package — one supplier, one responsibility. Email [email protected] for a response within 24 hours.
