Overview

The ultrasonic level meter measures liquid level without contact, covering ranges from 0–3 m up to 0–100 m (integrated type) and 0–3 m up to 70 m (split type) with 0.25% accuracy and standard 4–20 mA plus RS-485 outputs. As a non-contact instrument it is well suited to media where submerged sensors are undesirable.

The integrated type combines sensor and electronics in one housing, with range options of 0–3, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100 m, a blind zone of 0.15–0.7 m, working temperature -20 °C–+60 °C, pressure -1–16 kg (as printed), 2-channel relay control, IP68 protection and a 12864 dot-matrix display. The split type separates transmitter and sensor: ranges 0–3…70 m, blind zone 0.15–1.2 m, transmitter rated -20 °C–55 °C and sensor -25 °C–80 °C, with 4-channel relay control and IP68 protection. Both accept 24 VDC or 220 VAC supply.

The split family includes three sub-versions: an explosion-proof type (0–70 m, accuracy ±3 mm or 3–5‰, 40 KHz/24 KHz operating frequencies, 4°/6° full beam angle, DC24V 150 mA, Exd(ia) II BT4), an acid/alkali-proof type with PTFE-faced sensor (0–70 m, DC24V/AC220V, -20 °C–+60 °C, IP65) and a standard non-Ex type (0–70 m, DC24V/AC220V, IP65).

Should I choose the integrated or split ultrasonic level meter?

The integrated type houses everything in one unit with ranges up to 100 m and a local 12864 display; the split type separates the sensor (rated -25 °C–80 °C) from the transmitter and offers 4-channel relay control plus explosion-proof and acid/alkali-proof sub-versions.

Is there an explosion-proof ultrasonic level meter?

Yes. The split-type explosion-proof version is rated Exd(ia) II BT4, covers 0–70 m with ±3 mm or 3–5‰ accuracy, and runs on DC24V at 150 mA.

Can it measure corrosive liquids?

Yes. The acid/alkali-proof split version uses a PTFE-faced sensor. Contact us with your medium, range and tank details; we respond within 24 hours.

Four Probe Options for Every Liquid

The same transmitter accepts four interchangeable G2-thread probes, so one model covers clean water, sewage, foaming liquids and aggressive chemicals:

  • Standard probe — clean and municipal water, general tanks and sumps
  • Semi-sealed anti-corrosive probe — wastewater and mildly corrosive media
  • Fully sealed IP68 PVDF probe — acids, alkalis and chemical storage such as sodium hypochlorite tanks
  • Flame-retardant probe — sites with fire-safety requirements; custom builds available

Extended probes (300 mm and longer) can be supplied so the sensor face clears thick roof slabs and pit covers instead of firing inside the mounting hole.

IP68 Proven by 30 Months of Continuous Submersion

We do not just quote an IP rating — we verify it. A complete IP68 unit has been kept fully submerged in our showcase tank since February 2023, accumulating more than 21,600 hours (30 months) of continuous powered operation under water. The design also passes fog, stirring and anti-corrosion verification, which is why this meter is trusted in humid wells, underground pump stations and outdoor tanks.

Installation Options

Every unit ships with a G2 process thread (30 mm thread length) and can be ordered with the mounting hardware your site needs:

  • Thread mounting — direct G2 connection on tank nozzles and adapters
  • Flange mounting — PP flange for corrosive service or 304 stainless steel flange for industrial tanks
  • Bracket mounting — wall or handrail brackets with a sunshade plate for open channels and outdoor sumps
  • Stilling well (waveguide tube) — for narrow pits or foaming surfaces; for ranges up to 4 m use a single continuous tube with an inner diameter of at least 200 mm
