Overview

The Oval Gear Flowmeter is a type of positive displacement flow meter, known for its high accuracy and reliability. It works by using mechanical measuring elements (oval gears) to continuously divide the fluid into known volumetric segments. By counting the number of times these chambers are filled and emptied, it accurately measures the total volume of fluid passing through. It is particularly well-suited for high-viscosity media such as heavy oil, resins, and syrups.

Available in Cast Iron, Cast Steel, and Stainless Steel construction, the meter handles operating pressures up to 6.4MPa and temperatures up to +200℃. Its measurement accuracy is virtually unaffected by changes in fluid viscosity or flow profile, making it an ideal choice for challenging industrial applications where other meter types might struggle.
