Overview
The WKLD electromagnetic flow meter is a smart magnetic flowmeter that measures the volumetric flow of conductive liquids (conductivity ≥5uS/cm) in closed pipes from DN10 to DN3000. It works with flow velocities up to 15m/s, achieves ±0.3% of reading accuracy (DN15–DN600 at v≥1m/s) with a 1500:1 turndown, and delivers 4-20mA/pulse, RS232C, RS485 and HART outputs from a 220VAC 50Hz or 24VDC supply.
Built to standard JB/T 9248-1999, the WKLD has no moving parts and no flow obstruction, so pressure loss is negligible and maintenance is minimal. A wide choice of liners — PTFE (F4), FEP (F46), PFA, neoprene and polyurethane — combined with seven electrode materials lets the meter be matched to corrosive chemicals, slurries, sewage and clean water alike. The converter is available in square or round housings, and the sensor can be supplied as an integral unit, a remote (separated) version, a submersible-remote version, or an explosion-proof version.
For trade and utility applications WELK Meters also supplies WKLD-matched accessories: a batch/quantitative control cabinet for dosing and filling, a prepaid metering and settlement system, a flow alarm box, and a flow ticket printer box. Combined with the meter’s pulse and RS485 outputs, these allow the WKLD to be used as the core of batch-control and prepaid water/chemical dispensing stations.
