Overview
The WKGB vortex flow meter uses the Karman vortex-shedding principle to measure liquids, gases and steam in pipe sizes DN20–DN300. Accuracy is ±0.5 of reading on liquids and ±1.0 / ±1.5 on gas and steam with a 1:10 or 1:15 turndown, and the meter outputs either a pulse signal (0.1~3000Hz) or a 4~20mADC two-wire current.
The flow body is 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel with pressure ratings of PN1.6MPa, PN2.5MPa and PN4.0MPa, and medium temperature versions of -40~+250℃ and -40~+350℃ cover saturated and superheated steam duties. With no moving parts and a pressure-loss coefficient Cd<2.6, the WKGB is a robust alternative to orifice metering. Installation forms include wafer (flange-clamped), flanged, and integrated or split versions with temperature and pressure (T&P) compensation for direct mass/standard-volume measurement of steam and gas. A 3.6V lithium battery field-display version runs for ≥5 years per the feature text, and the totalizer is protected in EEPROM for around 10 years.
